I don't know about the rest of you, but I never knew about the ceremony of "burying the Alleluia" before Lent, although I am well aware that Alleluia is omitted in the NO between Ash Wednesday and the Easter Vigil. The EF rite omits it starting on Septuagesima Sunday.
