Let us pray for Francis our Pope, that the Lord may preserve him, give him life, make him blessed upon the earth, and hand not his soul over to his enemies.

R. And upon the son of man whom You have confirmed.
Let us pray. O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful, You have willed Your servant, Francis, to be the pre-eminent shepherd of Your Church. Graciously look upon him and grant to him, we beseech You, to benefit by word and deed those whom he rules, so that, with the faithful flock, he may come to life eternal. Through Christ Our Lord.
