Mar. 9: First Sunday of Lent

(ETF date)

4:15 at the Cathedral.

Introit: Invocabit me

Kyrie, Sanctus, Agnus Dei (no Gloria): Mass XVII
Remember, the Kyrie is a separate option from the one in Liber Cantualis; you should have the handout from Kathy. Also, since it's not a High Mass, we'll just be echoing Father on the Kyrie.

Credo III

Offertory: Scapulis suis
Lord Jesus, Think On Me

Communio: Scapulis suis
Panis Angelicus

Recessional: Lord, Who Throughout These Forty Days

Regina Caeli

First, welcome and thank you to our newest members!

Kathy recommends we memorize this. It's not that long or difficult. And remember, in the near future, Immaculate Heart Radio will be recording our rendition of this for production purposes.

Regina Caeli

O Vos Omnes

Since we're already working on this, I'll give it its own separate post.

O Vos Omnes - Victoria

Feb. 23: 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time

At the Cathedral, call time 4:15 PM. First Sunday of Lent isn't until March 9.

Introit: Domine in tua

Credo III

Offertory: Intende voci
All People That On Earth Do Dwell

Communio: Narrabo omnia

Recessional: I Sing The Mighty Power Of God

Bada Bing: We Need Sopranos

We'll never discourage new members in any voice part, but we're especially in need of sopranos these days, thanks to some untimely departures. So, if you know of any ladies who sing well in the upper register, please tell them about RPC! Don't let Kathy be a soloist.

(Funny how, when you do an image search of "sopranos," this is what comes up.)

Let's Hear It For Altos!

Even if, as this Minnesota Public Radio article suggests, you can't always hear them as obviously as the other parts. We in RPC love and cherish our altos! And I'm privileged to be married to an alto.

(By the way, if you have any articles (yours or someone else's) you'd like to share on this blog that pertain in some way or another to RPC, please let me know at pault3331 [at] gmail [dot] com.)
